In my teaching I value lively imagination, creativity and humour. An experienced group leader, I’ve been working with individuals and organizations for more than 30 years. My work with The Eagle Connection has included the establishment of an international alliance of groups developing holistic solutions to contemporary problems. |

Born in New Zealand, I did a doctorate at the Australian National University (ANU). My academic career included fellowships at MIT, the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies and the ANU; and service as Professor of Asian & Comparative History at the University of Michigan, and as President of the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco. I have studied with Native American, Tibetan Buddhist, Hindu, Balinese, Maori and Aboriginal Australian teachers. My most recent book is: "Other

I have travelled extensively in Asia, Europe, North America and the Pacific and spent a year living in an Indian Himalayan village. After 10 years in San Francisco, I moved to the Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand, to establish a private nature reserve on 50 acres of coastal forest.
